2025 NFL Conference Championship Predictions: Patriots vs Broncos, Rams vs Seahawks (2026)

In the thrilling world of NFL playoffs, only four teams remain standing, and they are on the brink of their chance to compete for Super Bowl LX glory. As we eagerly anticipate the Conference Championships, our predictions diverge sharply for both matchups—creating an exciting atmosphere full of possibilities.

Last week, I boldly chose all four underdogs, but unfortunately, none were able to deliver a victory, resulting in a disappointing 0-4 record for me, while Simms managed to come out ahead with a 2-2 performance. When it comes to betting against the spread, we both faced challenges as well, finishing with records of 1-3.

Currently, Simms has secured the title for straight-up picks this season, boasting an impressive 187 wins against 94 losses with one tie. My record stands at 177 wins, 104 losses, and one tie. However, in terms of spread selections, I still maintain a narrow lead with 142 wins, 136 losses, and four ties compared to Simms's 140 wins, 138 losses, and four ties.

Now, let’s dive into our predictions—there's a good chance one of us will be right about each game!

Patriots (-4.5) at Broncos

For the New England Patriots, this matchup poses one of their most challenging tests of the season. Historically, the odds are stacked against them in playoff games played in Denver; they've never won in four previous attempts on the road against the Broncos. The key question is whether quarterback Drake Maye can minimize his errors and lead his team effectively.

On the flip side, the Broncos are counting on Jarrett Stidham to rise to the occasion. There's confidence within the organization regarding his abilities, but he must also have faith in himself. It's crucial for him to manage the offense wisely, allowing other players to contribute without trying to do too much.

An interesting angle for the Broncos is that they can play the underdog card quite convincingly, as many analysts expect the Patriots to take this game (though I'm not among them!).

Florio’s prediction: Broncos 27, Patriots 23.

Simms’s prediction: Patriots 24, Broncos 17.

Rams at Seahawks (-2.5)

These two teams have provided fans with some thrilling encounters during the regular season, with their most recent face-off culminating in an unforgettable overtime thriller on a Thursday night. In that clash, the Rams racked up an impressive 581 total yards yet squandered a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter—an unforgettable moment for both teams.

Seattle must focus on establishing a strong running game to exploit the smaller Rams defensive line, which will create opportunities for quarterback Sam Darnold. The Rams will benefit from having star receiver Davante Adams available this time. Both Adams and Puka Nacua struggled against man coverage during their match in Chicago—will Seattle adjust their strategy and opt for more man coverage in this crucial third encounter?

The experience and skill of quarterback Matthew Stafford and coach Sean McVay could prove pivotal in this matchup. They’ve faced high-pressure situations before, and their expertise might just make the difference.

Regardless of the outcome, here's hoping for yet another thrilling game to add to the rivalry.

Florio’s prediction: Rams 34, Seahawks 30.

Simms’s prediction: Seahawks 28, Rams 20.
